Our Mission
To improve and promote the use, development, care and conservation
of California stock trails, backcountry, campsites, trailheads, horse camps, streams and meadows in and on City, County, State,
National Forests, National Parks, BLM and other public entities’ lands.
To advance good stock trail manners and stock ‘gentle use’
when camping and/or on trail rides in and on California trails, backcountry, campsites, trailheads, horse camps, streams and
meadows located in and on City, County, State, National Forests, National Parks, BLM, and other public entities’ lands.
To inform Unit’s membership of regulations that affect and effect
stock use on public entities’ lands and to inform membership of any pending regulations that might affect that use.
To promote public awareness of the historical aspects of stock use
in the back country and on trails in and on City, County, State, National Forests, National Parks, BLM, and other public entities’
lands.
To keep public officials aware of the interests and accomplishments
of this Unit.
To promote a working relationship with public officials.
To promote the interest of people and to inform public officials about
those who, due to health or physical factors, need transportation other than by foot or by wheel on trails and into the backcountry.
